PHD CANDIDATE IN POLITICS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF VIRGINIA
My research program focuses on how residents and local leaders get involved in making climate policy decisions in their cities. At a time when national and global action is often stalled, I seek to document the potential for policy change at the local level.
My primary academic interests include climate and energy policy, local politics, interpretive methods, and field methods and ethics.
I study the Peninsula area of California: an area of the country facing severe climate impacts that is home to cities with some of the strongest climate mitigation policies.
